Before pursuing law, Lea built a career in the technology sector. She earned a Bachelor of Computing Science and developed expertise in systems, cybersecurity, and technical risk management. In addition, she earned the GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) certification. This credential reflects her strong foundation in information security and analytical problem-solving.
As a result, Lea brings a distinctive perspective to her legal practice. Her technical background complements her legal training and strengthens her approach to complex matters. Earlier in her career, Lea volunteered with the Day One Society. The organization provides mental health programs and support to youth and adults throughout Kamloops and the surrounding communities, with a focus on hope, healing, and wellbeing.. Through this experience, she gained insight into governance, strategic planning, and community leadership. These lessons continue to inform her approach to legal practice.
