Associate Lawyer
Permanent, Full-Time
60-75k Base + Bonuses (but ultimately commensurate with year of call).
We currently have an opening for an Associate Lawyer within our firm in the areas of corporate commercial, business, taxation and commercial real estate, although we are open to hear your ideas.
Must have Qualifications/Skills:
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia.
- Excellent attitude, willingness to learn and a genuine respect for the rule of law.
- Excellent and funny sense of humor.
- Excellent writing and proofreading skills.
- Excellent respect for details and grasp of deadlines.
- Must love dogs.
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License and clean criminal record.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
- More than a three (3) year call.
- Experience working in private practice.
- Experience in various types of law.
- Ability to manage stressful situations such as rowdy clients, scary deadlines and stern faced lawyers.
- Familiarity with the business of law and billing procedures.
