Getting your affairs in order and keeping them that way.
Wills + Estates
Don’t Wait Any Longer
The longest part of doing your will is thinking about it, so we recommend that you start thinking about it soon. You will need to consider:
- What do you expect to be included in your estate on your death (ie: a property held in joint tenancy will not pass through your estate if the other joint tenant survives you);
- Who will be in charge of carrying out your wishes (“Executor”);
- Who will be in charge of your money (“Trustee”);
- What are you going to give to whom (“Division of Assets”); and
- What will be done with your remains.
These are the big questions, but there are plenty of smaller questions in the course of responsible estate planning. You’re never too young (or too old) to start estate planning.
